    I loved Descent as well. I used to connect to my friends via modem to play with them. While it was great for its time, and this video (combat wise) is very true to the original, I must say it is underwhelming.

    I think with how far games have come today, you need to have some gameplay advancements to bring to the table beyond the originals.

    I do agree with you about gameplay advancement. I've quit a few mods because of tis exact issue. However the thought of descent brings on a wave of happy nostalgia. My kids and I used to play this on my home network.
