Hi there,
I'm new to this forum, been more of a viewer than a poster until now...thought I'd start a sketchbook here as other art forums I'm a member of are more 2D based and aren't all that into 3D work, (with the exception of the ZBrush forums!).
Anyway I shall be posting any little bits I'm working on during my free time here. I'm always learning and love improving my skills so any crits/observations are more than welcome.
Thanks for taking time to look.

Here is one I recently re-rendered with some improved lighting...
I've just begun another 3D project during my spare time. One of my work collegues said 'I know you can do fantasy work but do you ever create anything a bit cute?' I had a little think about this and released its been ages since I drew some more cartoony 'cute' stuff and I haven't ever created a 3D model that I would consider cute, well I have for work but not for my own stuff so I thought I'd give it a go!
I drew up some cartoony concepts for a mobile game ages ago but the game never got released in the end so I thought I would take my old concept art and try to create it in 3D for fun, and some practice!
So here is the old concept work and my start on his head sculpting in ZBrush, so far this is two hours work in total...
And this guy is still a work in progress...
He was modelled using a combination of ZBrush and Maya 2013 and I polypainted the textures in ZBrush and finished them off using PhotoShop. He has 2 x 512 colour maps, 2 x 512 Normal Maps and 2 x 256 Specular Maps as he appears very large in the game as in the films.
This version is in his 'T-pose' ready for animating for use in the game. He was rendered using Maya and Mental Ray.
