I'm trying to recreate some rocks and logs, etc, with moss over the top, I'm using a multi-layered texture to create differences in the items, but it's all looking very flat. Was wondering if anyone had any good tips for moss and making it feel more... well, mossy really ! ?

and how much graphic scard budget you have, but wouldnt a displacement or parallax map be what you are looking for?
or at least try using a normal map in your multi layer texture and mask off the wood?
