Hey Guys!

I'm currently working on creating a Titan for my Uni thesis and I thought it would be cool to post my progress here, the project is basically "Effective tessellation for wear and tear on a Titan character" though.
Any Critique and advice from you all is very much welcomed :D (be as harsh as possible if you feel :poly136:). Please treat me well and I hope I can surprise you.. and myself for that matter! So with no further adieu! lets get started!

The Type of titan I'd like to focus on is Chronos-like. Rough, Destructive and rocky is what comes to mind, here are some4 references i gathered for him:

Currently starting on a concept, will post it asap. For now, please if you guys have any useful references, please let me know :)

I did a bit of planning on this guy and actually finished the sculpt, i'm aware i'm probably doing this wrong for posting it so late but I'm still trying to get used to posting online :poly127:, from now on it will be my first priority!

Here is a short plan on the creature, first is a rough scketch.

a little while after this i created a coloured concept, please forgive my horrible art, i still strive to improve in that area its on the top of my list!

Here is some reference, I think you can push the saturation and play with your maps/materials to make that lava look hotter.

You could define the anatomy more, and then add rock shards sticking out to give more to the silhouette, I liked the asymmetrical horn on the head.

    Just ideas, keep at it.

For a second I thought it would be sneak peak of "project titan". :\

Looks good, an idea may be to have the rocks a dark grey (like normal rocks) instead of black, as magma cools it gets lighter.
Thought behind this is that the character is mostly solid and has been for some time, the cracks let the heat out keeping the rock near the lava black and fades out to grey as it gets further away from the lava.
