MEGA UPDATE: 11/1/2012HUSKAR INFERNAL SET
Hey everyone, BenHenry and I have finally come up with a concept we both agree on.
We've decided to create a set of items that actually relate to Huskar's Lore as opposed to making something completely random. We decided on an infernal set because we imagined Huskar allying up with a demonic entity and using spikey, obsidian/volcanic rock from hell as a common material on the armor and weapons to show it.
here are some new pictures. We may need to tweak the bracer model a bit and add some horns to it as the rest of the concept has horns everywhere. We'll see, it's sort of up in the air at this point.

Hey guys, just reserving a spot for my Huskar item set. I am most likely going to do a stone/bone armor theme with a bit of a mayan twist. I am not quite sure about it yet, I am still working on the concept.
I know I'm a tad late to the party, but I had a lot of stuff to do for school, so I intend to start now and use every bit of my free time to do create a nice item set for Huskar.

Okay so this may be unfolding at a kinda slow pace, but here's an update either way. I'm still doing some more concepting and Ben has already started to model the bracers, which look amazing, but I forgot to ask him for a screen shot. At this point he's doing the high poly in max and zbrush. Heres a picture:

So, I've done a few different iterations of my original design the past couple of days, and I have finally come up with a nice concept for the head and the shoulders! I've gotta give thanks to someone in the Polycount google hangout who sorta game me some direction. Heres a picture:

I've been pretty busy with work and school the past 2 days. Finally got a nice start for the concept! I'm gonna try and finish the set of armor tonight and work on the weapons tomorrow. Mind you, this is a bit on the simplistic side. I will most likely improve upon this, and or add something more to it when modeling and texturing. Perhaps my palette is just too bland! I'm gonna see what else I can do with this thing.

Still trying to come up with a more solid concept. Talking to my friends who play a ton of Dota 2 to see what they think would look good on Huskar! So far, the Mayan theme seems pretty concrete, but I need to refine it further.

This is how we're going to split this one up (50/50): I do concept art and possibly the detailed sculpts, he does the hard surface modeling (high/low) in Max and probably the baking.
Just gotta work on the weapon now. Doing a very spiked and cascaded sort of design for everything.
