Dota 2 Polycount Contest - Wanna collaborate?

The title says it all. I would like to collaborate with someone to enter the Dota 2 Polycount Contest. I've got some ideas to throw around, but I don't know how to put 'pen on paper' as you would say. I have never touched 3D drawing. Though I am pretty adept at drawing with a pencil. If that helps. I don't know, I just want to be a part of this competition and make Dota greater :D So anyone interested?

What do you actually do? Are you a modeler(apparently not?), a texture artist, a concept artist? If you want to collaborate with somebody, tell us why we should be interested :p

Youre better off starting by showing your work.

The entire point of the competition is to put your 'own' talent into play, not throw a few ideas that people will make into a reality, and so friction follows suite if any prizes are involved.

I think I'm more of a concept artist. Drawing stuff on paper, and handing it to someone to change into reality. :)

@Andreas I might. I've got a few ideas for several heroes, but I'll slowly post them up

@Ace-Angel Though I remember somewhere in the rulebook is that you can collaborate with any artists, so I'm just seeing if anyone wants my help. As for 'any prizes involved' I really don't mind. I just want to be able to say 'I HELPED MAKE THAT' :L

Whoever agrees, you should both sign a paper agreement for something like that.

Well here's a concept art for Naga Siren. I acknowledge it's not really top-notch, but a start is a start. I might draw Naga with the set ON. Anyways. I feel that this set needs a name. 'Scales of Scylla' As for Naga's frills/hair, I haven't decided yet. I thought of a Mohawk all the way down to her tail but it looks weird front on.

Sorry just noticed your post count... sigh, this is gonna be the TF2 comp all over again.

Sorry kid but there aint no shortcut to this. If you wanna enter, learn the tools and produce the piece yourself.

Just joined recently but will chip in my thought as well. You still need to do your hard yard regardless. Also, you need to put in a lot of thinking to make the idea so good to make other interested in modelling that idea. Apparently right now it doesn't look good from what you posted. I've self taught sketching and right now taking up 3d modelling tutorial. Tried 3ds max couple of years ago (10 maybe?) and decided it was hard, but right now the tools available are easy. Try out sculptris or zbrush or 3d coat demo available right on steam. I like zbrush due to its shortcut and control.

More input for your work you just posted:
    - you need reference with the model
    - consistency between items to make it a set
    - what's the palette for them?
    - even its 2d you need more angle, I can do your drawing when I was 4 or 5, no I'm honest here not to bash you.

Okay, I realise I have much more to do. I'll download the demo and try it out. Looks like I won't be entering the comp. LOL. Thanks though
