I am fond of the beta thus far, although I wish they would bring back certain things that made the first one so awesome to play, ie actually hacking bases/towers as opposed to just 'being in the vicinity.'
There will always be back and forth as of now between the hardcore ps1 vets and their fears of this game turning into CoD, but I think the dev team has been awesome with how open they've been with the community. I think if they keep that attitude up and listening to the community they can't fail.
What server/faction are you? I'm NC for life :P and was on Themisto (East) but I'm pretty sure they've just recently wiped characters and changed the server names with the introduction of Esamir? Let's link up in-game if possible!
Right now im not a big fan of the capping system, as it seems like each base you capture doesnt really do much. Ive been reading on how planetside 1 capturing a base of different types would give huge benefits to your team in terms of what vehicles, and resources they got.
Im also worried it will be pay to win and not F2Play, as last night i shot some guy in the back with a freaking `rocket launcher` point blank, and than unloaded some heavy machine gun fire on him and he just turned around and killed me with a few shots from his pistol. Seems kind of unbalanced.
Love the architecture art style though, and the feeling of massive large battles with tons of vehicles and aircraft. Could be cool.

Sitting around getting stomped on is never fun tho, better to move back and start picking away at them.

it runs fine at high, but i turned it to med cause the bloom made it hard to see, specialy in bio labs
i was a big big pside 1 player the core systems are a lot different than 1 but i am getting used to it, i joine a large outfit TRG who do large group runs almost every night. that made it funner and i can ask questions of the people who have played the beta more than i have.
