I imagine everyone is already all over this, but just in case anyone has missed it (and I know there's a lot of amazing artists waiting for opportunities like these), ArenaNet have opened their 2013 Internships.

Be sure to check out the guidelines and requirements carefully.
A note on applications - You may post your progress online, but you MUST email your final renders along with a breakdown of your texture sheets.
Please also note that any polycount progression threads regarding the internship, should be uploaded to the contest section here - http://www.polycount.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=47
The entry deadline is
October 20, 2012.
No follow-up phone calls (they would be bombarded enough I imagine). Attention to detail is a key requirement for this position, so if you’re unable to follow these instructions specifically, you will not be considered for the program.
Good luck everyone! ^_^

"Maximum equivalent of two 1024x1024 textures," meaning you could do a 512 diffuse, 512 normal, 512 shadow and 512 specular (equalling the same as 2 maps at 1024x1024). You could even do one 1024x1024, one 512x512, and two 256x256 maps. They don't have to be square either (1024x512 for example).
Regarding the 3000 polys - again, from what I saw of previous tests, that's in triangles.
Hope that helps! ^_^
Cool, thanks! I think I'm definitely gonna give this a shot!

or something...
My math's not great by any means so correct me on this if I've completely messed it up - couldn't you fit 8 512x512 textures into 2 1024x1024 textures? So you could do 2x512x512 diffuse, spec, gloss and normals. Or for the second example, a 1024x1024, 2x512x512 and 8x 256x256?
