@cholden: Well nothing has proper collision due to the limited time I had so walking around would be a bit rough haha. But yeah I'll look into it.
Thanks so much guys. drop box failed Did not see that coming. I wonder how long my account will be suspended anyways here they are again. Imagur kinda kills the quality but I guess it will work for now.
The scale on the cliffs is really standing out. You might have wanted to spent more resources on the modeling there. They're so massive and blocky and give off the wrong sense of scale, especially when you see the grass and rubble near the bottom. The textures aren't helping it either, as the details are crazy huge when taken into context. Would also be nice to see some more natural blending for the home/structure to help tie it to the environment a bit more.
Also, the silhouette of the bird rock formation is strong, but dropping in a dim light could help show it off more.
I'm guessing the contest is nearly over, so you probably won't be spending much more time on this, but all in all, it's still a nice piece! So good luck!
awesome stuff man!
looks beautifful!
the only thing that bothers me a bit is that, in the screen where you see the cliff, everything looks very detailed except the cliff side rock texture, it's clearly less detailed and lower res! you probably won't see it much at that angle but still, maybe something you can improve upon!
and if you still want to work on this a lot I would suggest to put in some small buildings too break the forest line, a little outside toilet, a small barn something like that,
Awesome stuff man, turned out great! Good luck! Should be proud of this piece, its rockin!
i've spammed you with a lot of comments, but the only thing that stands out to me (other than what's been mentioned) would be a little more full-ness and character in the clouds. They're pretty subtle, almost smoke or mist like. They kinda get the mood, but i feel a little more drama would have pushed it further.
ex: tho i wouldnt have gone as cartoony as these, but similar vibe:
Wow looks great, only critique is part of the texture on the cliff face doesnt look quite as refined as everything else, could maybe even do with some more geo?
regardless, awesome work.
Congratulations on winning the first prize, Nick! The work you've put into this project is very inspiring. Looks like a blend of the current and the next-gen WoW .
Best of luck with the internship!

oh, and the forest is still a little flat, I see you made it go up and down but I would really make it go uphill so you create another layer off tops off trees,
a bit like the effect you have in this pic:

is it clear what I'm saying?
don't get me wrong though, just some things that popped up in my head that could make it even better,
I totally love this sc
Also, a camera matinee around is a nice touch too.
If yuo need any help setting any of that up, I'd be glad to help.
