Hey man doesnt look bad at all. I would maybe make the wood a bit darker and make the metal shine a bit more. But other than that i think it looks pretty cool. BTW would you be interested in working on a game??

    thanks

Not bad AT ALL for a first time 3d game model.

However it's extremely apparent that the gun trigger isn't given enough love, and looks like it's meshed together with the handle. I don't know much about guns, but I would definitely take what Cyber said about the wood and metal into consideration. Make sure to get the most out of your spec map by putting scratches etc. in the SPEC, andnot really in the DIFFUSE. Also, look into using something called a GLOSS map, they do wonders.

Try to envision where the gun is being touched / used the most. Where the hands always are / will be. Those areas are going to have the most scuff / dirt, fingerprints, etc. Put that stuff in!
