Thank you for putting this together and thanks to all the great artists who contributed to this! I can't wait to dive in! This is an amazing collection of work!!!!!!
We'll be sharing this torrent on our site soon (so we can continue to track download statistics), we've already exceeded the bandwidth for 3 different servers in under 24 hours. The response has been amazing.
I plan on doing this. How much does it cost to print this thing at Kinkos? Are there better options?
Well I looked and I think I will get better prices if I print it myself and then go to kinko's and get it binded there. If you have a okay printer should cost 30-40 dollars (guessing with binding) with cartridges depending on how expensive they are. I just cant read this on my PC it doesnt feel right. Then if you want it on the nice photo paper.
It's almost 2AM, and I'm mostly a long time lurker, but I had to log in and say thank you to all the talented artist that took the time to record their methods and ideas.
Big thanks to Ryan and everyone else that contributed. I'll be eagerly awaiting the second volume, and hopefully there will be a way to throw a couple bucks your way in support. (hint hint: I'd love to have a physical copy of this!)
thank you, thanks you, and thank you. This is extremely appreciated. I've downloaded a copy, and will make a note of how much I owe you. Thank you again! ^_^
Freaking insane. Congrats Ryan! Thanks everyone for your contributions!
If you want to get something hardcover w/ dust jacket and pretty decent photo image quality I've used http://www.blurb.com/ before and been happy with the results. I think I priced it out at $80-90 for the 8x10 at around 300 pages.
very cool! I've found that it's pretty slow on iBooks, the pages stay blurry for 5-10 seconds every time I turn the page so I ended up using Stanza, it's free and works a lot better.
Man I really can't thank you guys enough! Thanks to Ryan and all who were involved with the creation of this game art bible! I felt so wrong trying to read this from my monitor and I felt it just HAD to be printed out. I reaaally wish I could give you guys money for this.
This printing does not do it justice but it'll have to do for now.
For anyone curious I got this printed out and spiral bound for around 100 bucks at office max. And that was the cheapest quote I was able to find from the major printers (fedex kinko's, ups store, etc...).
I really wish I could get a hardback bound version of this but this will have to do until you guys can them professionally printed and bound.
This works good for me! Just leave it to load the .pdf for a little while and then it's like 1 second wait between the pages (going from blurry to sharp)
Sorry I have not posted yet peeps been busy chilling with the family and such taking a break. I appreciate all the support the community has put forth into helping with the book and helping promote the book too. We will start looking into Book #2 soon so if you have suggestions or ideas what you liked in this one or what you want more or or even what you would like to see let us know on our forums please. We also are looking for contributors for the second book as well and if that is something you might like to do. Send us an email at contact@artbypapercut.com with your name and a link to some of your work and a possible 3 topics you would like to cover.

Would printing a version for yourself be a big no-no?

To the editor and authors: Thanks a ton. So much concise information in one book, and not a dime to pay. Crazy awesome.
