LATEST UPDATE:
I'm busy improving myself by creating some scenes for my portfolio website. In this scene I want to focus on modularity, lighting effects in combination with particles.
I chose an abandoned factory hallway for my scene. To get a feeling where I'm taking my inspiration from I did a little research and made a moodboard.
I have made a start by modelling the walls of the factory hall and putting them in UDK with some block ins of props. I'm still thinking about how I should aproach the floor since I want to put a big machine in the middle of the factory hall with pile of junks and rumble around it. But i'm not sure about that yet.
This is still a WIP. I have a still a big list with things that need to be done. Will update soon.
Tips and feedback are very welcome. Thanks in advance.

Just something you might want to keep in mind
The lighting seems a bit over the top right now to me. Should I tone it a bit down?
IMO the drop down lights need some work
- De-saturate the material for the light bulb a bit
- Make the outer radius of the spotlight/s bigger.
Personally, I think the lighting is a bit too dim, but such a comment is pretty pointless from me until the scene is populated with objects
I dug around to find some similarly-themed environment from other Polycounters that you could use for inspiration:

I hope that helps, keep up the good work!
