Trying to get a colored shadow just like this
translucent_T.JPG

in my level but not quite there yet...

mapk.jpg

-"cast lit translucency Shadow as Masked" if off in both "translucency" and "lightmass" sub sections.

-blend mode is on Blend_Translucent with MLM_Phong.

-there's no directional lighting either

-also tried cast dynamic shadow and all that did was cast a solid black shadow.

-tried setting the point light to dynamic lighting as well.

Ive tried building the map with and without lightmass and still no colored shadow.

here's my shader set up...tried following udk's guide and it seems right..??

Looks like it works to me, vary the colour a bit so you can discern it from the ambient colour used. (looks like default night, which is already very blue)

Try with a more colorful glass thingy or something, the current Color as James said is simply too blue, alongside the ambient and environment, hence why you're not seeing anything.

thanks james....I was so focused on the shader I didnt even realize it >.< After a few hours I figured out that a spotlight worked the best with a LightMass radius set to .1...

I think now I just have to go back and tone down the saturation of the floor texture and over all lighting...thanks again polycounters :)
