Hey guys, i am looking to start a new project soon and was looking at maybe doing this tuctuc.
I have a few questions before i get started.
1. How would you model the top? (the cloth like part)
2. how do you model glass?
3. how do you get that effect on the orange light?
Any help will be much appreciated

You could also use sculpting for the cloth details, after you've blocked in the main forms with sub-d modeling.
Glass is like any other surface. The only difference is using a transparent + reflective material.
Orange light has a clear plastic cover that is refracting the little mirror and lightbulb inside. Depends how accurate you want to get. Usually people just paint the texture, or use a photo. If you want accuracy, model in all the bumps and ridges and interior, then use raytracing.
