Hey guys,
I'm trying to render out this nice city skyline here. The problem is, I can't render out AO for it.
Whenever I apply the AO shader like I've always done, I get this
result.
Doing the exact same thing in 3DS 2012 works like expected, rendering out a nice AO.
I can't for the life of me figure out what the problem is. I tried googling it but found nothing of any help.
If you guys can figure it out, that'd be magnificent. Thanks!

It's very basic. I've tried messing with all the settings, even copying directly from max 2012, and it's still pure black
Have you try updating to the latest product update? Try creating a new scene and test it out to see if the problem lies in the scene or the application itself.
I figured it out, it was my exposure control. It had a high white balance, and I guess the mental ray shader doesn't like that. I lowered it and it was fine.
