Not sure about the eyes and teeth on the hoodie. I mean I like them but I am not sure they are for this chick. It may be too early to tell for sure but I think I am leaning towards no.
mhhh... i think the eyes and teeth on the hoodie add a lot of character, sort of "cutie badass" look but ultimately it just depends if you're going for that look... maybe try with the eyes only?
I say keep it, so far I think it looks awesome and gives some nice character to her. I mean, once you block out the rest a bit more you can always remove it then if it breaks the character.
I'm not sure how far you are with the body, but at the moment I feel like the gap between the legs is a bit too much.
Wow...i JUST figured out the Pauly Shore reference. I fail.
looks awesome. I've never seen the feet blocked out like that. Thank you for making my life easier.
oh man! loving her lips! she's looking great so far, as for the face on the hoodie, i think it's neat, though it might not be for her as she progress? but yeah i think it's too early to really tell right now, can't wait to see more
@ Scythe : Yeah I agree with you man. It sort of does not work with the sword..... BUT I only just thought of this, instead of a sword she could have a huge lollipop mace or something. make her more cutie pie but then all that gets twisted around when I add a heap of dirt (and probably some blood)..hmmmm I need to think about this. Thanks man.
@ MeintevdS : Thanks Agreed. I brought her legs closer together.......... (teheheheh)
@ SA_22 : cool as. That is sort of what I am going for. Thanks for the ref I will have to check it out and see how far I can push this thing.
@ reverendK : haha yeah I never know what to name these threads because I always change my mind about 147 times before I finish a character. Cheers for the feet thing too. Personally I found it was an easier starting point than tubes (plus ReMesh and or Dynamesh make it much easier to fill in the hole and sculpt away)
@ JGcount : HAHAHAHAHAHAHA! WHAT THE FUCK IS TAHT! hahahaha WOW, never seen those guys before, not my style of music but, haha Some of the visuals are pretty cool and I can definitely see some new directions. BIG THANKS for the rad ref.
Having read you comments I have decided to keep the hood-monster (and maybe push it further, at least for now) you are all right I think it does add a slight twist.
Just blocking in some of the other bits and pieces and trying to figure out some new angles.
Quick question about the setup of the feet in the initial post. Why is that you go about ringing around leaving a gap in the foot? Do you just dynamesh to fill later on?
Nice update man keep it up!
Edit just realised you answered my question in the above post :P
Out of curiosity, how long does it take you to set up your zspheres? (I feel a slight deja vu here, I'm really sorry if I asked this before and missed the answer.)
*/me checks older messages to see if I asked it before.
Still looking good so far, I like the idea of a giant lollipop. Her hood, in some ways, reminds me of guilty gear's I-no living hat, i could totally see those teeth and eyebawls moving. That'd be creepy.
Otherwise I like dem hands, a tad big but it suits the char. I think what throw me off a little is that her thigh are as wide as her calf. well it's still wip anyway. Keep on the good tune !
@ MeintevdS : hahaha I don't think you have asked me yet... I might have missed the question. hmmm anyway sorry if I did miss it. I usually spend about 15 mins setting them up and then ages playing with the proportions and shapes. All in all I would say about 45 mins to an hour.... about.... maybe.
@ afisher : Thanks man. The hoodie will be about what it is now and the vest will be a bit puffier but still quite fitted.
@ Fred2303 :
@ Scythe : Thanks. hahaha animated eyes and teeth would be really cool. I could almost hear a voice as well, gagged and muffled to everyone but she could understand him perfectly, kind of like a sidekick.
@ dii : haha if anything was gonna get you on board. Hoodies are like bug zappers........except for humans.. not bugs.......and they don't kill.
@ stxtch : Not sure about a vehicle. I have played with the idea but I have nothing solid yet.
Which vest is best?
Been playing with the vest but now I don't know which looks better. I am leaning towards # 1 but then I look at #2 (teehehehehe) and I change my mind. It still needs pockets and so this is just for the main shapes.
Thanks again everyone. and thanks in advance for the vest vote
I think the #2 goes better with the simplicity of the overall character design.
Lookin really awesome so far btw I'm a big fan of your character designs.
F'ing love the gesture in those hands man and everything else is looking awesome. Glad you went with #2 definately less repetative to look at. Looking forward to seeing this progress.
@ MeintevdS : Thanks. yeah BIG button for the win. Not sure if I can make the zip bigger but I might make the little holder larger. Thanks
@ moeptier : Thanks She is using "x_undoz_Mud4" I can't even remember where I got it from maybe even here sorry . If I can find it I will let you know.
Looking sweet dude! Good choice with #2. Are you planning on using alphas for her hair or keeping as a solid mesh? @moeptier - you can get the undoz matcap set here
Ah yes I mean the little zipper handle thingy, the zipper thing itself shouldn't be to big.
Tweaks on the legs are a huge improvement, they kept giving me a slightly froggish/anorexic feeling. I still think that maybe the butt is a bit too "square"? It feels like she's constantly clutching.
I'm not to wild about the pants yet, they feel to skin tight even for tight pants. But you just started on those, so I'm sure once you sculpt in some wrinkles and stuff that'll fix it right up.
@ MeintevdS : Good call with the square butt. I will play with that when I jump back onto the pants.
Started some details over the weekend. Didn't too far coz I was trying stuff out as I went :poly127: Not 100% sure the "claw cuffs" are working yet but this is the best they have looked. Also starting to toy with the idea of giving the hoodie a tail. Once the tail goes in the claw cuffs might sit a little bit better.

the start. She is going to have a big puffy vest and hoodie but I got carried away with a hood idea
What says you rad evereyones?
matter of choice; Tough choice
I'm not sure how far you are with the body, but at the moment I feel like the gap between the legs is a bit too much.
look up so so happy they make a bunch of hoodies with designs like that

I would vote #2, as I feel like you could put a design / pocket / zipper or something in the space you have there
I'm liking #2, it meshes with her vertical feel right now.
Awesome Awesome
I like that she is starting to look like two characters in one. Which is sort of cool.
Thanks again everyone.
Like the huge button you put on the collar of her shirt. I like big buttons (and zipper for that matter, *hint hint*).
Interested to see what you have in mind for her pants.
Cheers,
Tim

Daily spam. Tweaked the legs a bit.
@moeptier - you can get the undoz matcap set here
@afisher: thanks a lot!
@ garriola83 : thanks
Spam #2 for today. More leg tweaks and started the shoe base.
Have a good weekend everyone. I hope I have more to show on Monday.
