My first post contains a WIP showing my first attempt at playing with the materials, textures and lighting available in Blender - without following the exact guidance in the
Essential Blender textbook that I've been using to learn it. The building is my current house, with mirror and array modifiers used to create a whole street.
The intention was initially to learn Blender, but now it is to take a building from real life and get it into a game engine, probably UDK (learning all neccessary steps in between as a by product of the task). The aim is to make it a portfolio piece for an Environment Artist
portfolio, because I want to make places. :poly142:
