Mixamo FCC: Female Knight
Elo! This is my first official WIP thread for the Mixamo Fantasy character contest. I'm still learning ( and needs to learn more in 3d), so any feedback, critiques is greatly appreciated!:)
I chose Knight. here's my WIP. sorry, I still dont have any drawing or concept art. (^^") cos Im havin a hard time to think of a concept. so i decided to go "come what may" style.:poly124:
I really don't know what to add on my female heavy armored knight. so if you have any suggestion, or anything in mind. feel free to share thanks.

I think it's simple : if she moves the arms up, she will take the pauldrons directly in the face with A, and a lil bit later with B ^^.
Didn't see that coming, huh, huh ? XD
Anyway I like the face too, like Jeffreak said, she looks like an FF character. However this armor doesn't looks "heavy" atm, you should maybe look for some Lineage 2 armors if you don't know what to add, I found them beautiful.
Anyway, It looks good so far! keep it up! ^_^
jeffreak the gauntlet is still temporary. heheh. i just put alot of things on it. i guess ill just clean it up.

by the way I kinda shift my heavy armor knight to a simple knight. I guess I dont have much time to make it look more "heavy armored". my apologies..
i have no problem with you using it for any personal works, but i dont think it is allowed for this contest.
Well, this is annoying...
MM, can you prove that he didn't do it himself ( screens or download link of the original model ) ?
Crazy, can you prove that you did it yourself ? You put directly an almost finished and good looking mesh without showing any construction, concept or ref, it could seem odd. Plus, it's your first thread and I think that we've never seen anything you did before.

btw, i welcome people to use it for personal works and give proper credit to me, but i doubt it is allowed to use pre-made model for this contest since mixamo actually gets to keep the model and possibly they would sell it sometime in future as well.
By the way, taking an old mesh made by someone else some years ago is not fair at all... and maybe "illegal" too as it's for a contest with money to win.
You should contact Mixamo and the admins of PC...

I suggest you start a new one to prove your skills. And if you use a basemesh, it should be neutral and entirely reworked. It's unfair for the people who try to sculpt an entire body if someone else just pick a pre-made one, right ? If you need a model for proportions, use a mannequin in Zbrush ( in the lightbox, go to Projects, then Mannequins ).
Personally I think that a contest must show our skills for the entire stuff. I don't even undesrtand why Mixamo allows people to use an existing concept, as it's a character CREATION contest... if people can't draw, they can do a 3D concept, like me ^^.
