Maybe you could have a few trinket/bones dangling from the horns on the helm. That is, if you have some separate polys to throw about later on. Also maybe you could have one are that is complete bare of armour with some nice funky orcish tribal tattoos.
dude that looks sooo cool! love the helmet and the hammer, really awezome work, though the sheet for the hammer seems a litle to thin to hold that things weight though.
This is shaping up. Really awesome piece and its a rare thing to see a 2 handed weapon sleeve. For a while I forgot they existed. I thought it was just held in place by the sheer force of the player/viewer's imagination :P
How about having mice skulls as mini little knuckle protectors!
this is good................... but ....this types of orks ,we have already seen in the movies like lord of the rings...............this nothing new..............
looks great, I miss the colors though xD the armor looks great, and ye, this armor would work (coming from a guy who made some IRL knight armors). The only crit I have now, if realism and functionality is important to you is that he is not wearing any cloth under all the metal, maybe orc skin is thinker and he dosnt need it, but if a human would wear that it would be kinda painful when moving around, all those straps and metal parts cutting into the skin.
Thanks!
Been wanting to do an orc for a while now, so this contest seems like an opportunity to jump right on it.
@lotet: Thanks,
That is cool, metal/leather crafting? Resin?
The chafing... , thicker skin is right. Though I will be adding fur underneath the chest/neck piece (the gorget). Some parts have support underneath and some don't.
I upgraded my pc a couple months ago. Nothing fancy really. A good mid-range one at ~800$ (includes a 22" monitor)...i5 core, 8gb, radeon 6800.
It's about 160 subtools and highest points per one subtool I can go is ~14mil. The whole scene is 77,777mil points right now.
