Alright, so I've done a bunch of Zdoodles in the past few months, but nothing really substantial. I wanted to work on a character again and really make it pop. Figured I'd start with one of my concepts and see what happens. Cheers!
Wonderful, both the concept and 3d blocking. No crits by now, but I want to ask why are you sculpting his naked torso? Don't you think it would be easier sculpt he already dressed?
suburbbum work your magic! This will be great piece once its finsihed. I was actually hoping you'd turn your blue bot into 3D but we can all live in hope :P
As for your progress so far you've got a nice base to work from. Personally I'd arch his back more as well as bring his arm back. That way it should give him a stronger silhouette in the side view. I'd also take another stab at the legs position, especially the knees. It seem he has inverted rickets.
Are you using triangulated basemeshes? Because your geo is crazy... You may wanna retopo it or just convert them to dynamesh cause I don't think those will be fun to sculpt on.
Lookin forward to seeing it finished, such a badass design
Looks great man. I really dig the proportions. The beard is throwing me off a little bit. It feels a little disjointed but I'm sure that'll change through progress. Love the style though.

Good luck and I cannot wait to see more!!
@Di$array - thanks for the crits. I fixed his back and shoulders. I'm working on his hands and legs right now.
Updates!

Can't wait to see how you create the large spirals on the armor while keeping them round and smooth.
Subscribed and will keep a close eye =P
