Guys,
I just want to post, that I love polycount, if it wasnt for polycount i wouldnt ever grow as an artist or learn, just looking at someone elses art and seeing the critiques and/or praises helps me grow so strongly as an artist, I'm so looking forward to the day when I am an artist in the game industry, the day i can say "I worked on that game" is going to be one of the greatest days of my life. Thank you all for being such great people and helping me with my art. Yes i beat myself up all the time about not making art 24/7 like some of you do and about not staying on track as an artist but my passion is beyond the passion of anyone i know and i know that if i just keep at it, someday i will be there. I dont care if i make rocks all day long, atleast im making art in the game industry. Almost all art i look at on here inspires me and i just want to thank you all for being such great people and great artists. I wish my friends liked game art, modeling, and just working with game engines and 3d modeling programs as much as i do. If anyone would like to add me just to talk about art or playing games or ANYTHING for that matter please feel free, my skype is dpaynter26
once again, THANK YOU ALL!!!!

Polycount.
less than a year of busting my ass, and polycount got me 2 jobs. not bad. dedicate yourself to living for what you love, be your own cheer leading team, whatever it takes to put yourself in the right state of mind. Don't get attached to your work, use it as toilet paper if you could. Find all your mistakes in your last pieces, so that they don't occur in new ones.
i'm usually on skype, while i doodle: artberto1776
Haha just kidding! Seriously, polycount is great and I agree with every point. It's a great place to learn, to get to know new people and get a place in the industry. I like how down-to-earth polycount is. We're honest with our feedback and we want to help each other improve. We spend ridiculous amount of time writing feedback or even doing proper paintovers for each other.
I love you guys too!
*No homo*
Hell, even the Polycount twitter manages to be awesome.
Also anyone who wants to add me, i should be found with: wrshredder
And to the topic. I love polycount too! Seeing your awesome works pushes me to get to that quality level too. One thing that bothers me like hell is that why on earth i didn't start coming here when my school started. The amount of feedback i could've had :<
The amount of stuff I have learned about everything just by reading through past and present threads, as well as adding my own input is invaluable!
I only get to spend a couple hours a day on art thanks to a dead-end job to pay for rent, but at least said job affords me the opportunity to be here with you guys in the meantime
Thanks Polycount.

Adam, I think you can just get rid of the notifications. Maybe this isn't the problem, but here: https://support.skype.com/en-us/faq/FA10819/How-do-I-turn-off-notifications
Polycount is a pretty amazing place. learnt most of what I know from following other people's threads.
I'd love to be added to PCU. My Skype name is: paulsvoboda21
I thought I invited you there the moment you added me. =\
Any hoo. Regarding sir Adam's fair warning. Now it isnt as active as it used to be, We do talk, but we are not as spammy as we used to be. We get busy with our work, and when we require some questions to be answered regarding our work we try to discuss it there. It is still something that I use for faster critiques because I couldnt get them when I posted in PnP section of the PC.
You get a response regarding your work really fast as long as there is someone there.
If you wish to join there add me up and I'll invite you there.

Do not disturb mode fixes that just fine
It's casual. Fair bit of general chat but the vast majority of questions get answered and plenty of feedback if you want it.
