How to lock the other orthographic views in max like the side, top and front? I am switching from maya to max so sometimes I accidentally rotate it (the pan in maya = rotate in max). Is it possible to disable the the "rotate" in other ortho views in max? Thanks.
Been acquainting myself with Max's UV tools, but feel the whole UV'ing process is kinda of clunky compared to Maya. Are there any good UV plugins for Max? I'm using Max 2009 and I'm open to exploring either free or paid plugins, thanks.

1. Can Max bake lightmap to 1 file from many separated objects? 2. Can Max take into consideration smoothing groups during baking? 3. If not 'Render to texture' from 3d max - what program do you use to baking lightmap?
Well first, is there a thread about basic max use? But anyway, I cant seem to find an 'insert edge loop' tool. I used it all the time in maya and I know there has to be a way to do that in max. thanks in advance! edit: and I am using max 2008
