By the way, I thought I'd clear one small thing up: My goal is Level Designer, not environment art. That was my justification for including the Forge level. I'll work on my site a little bit today and shuffle it around a little. I'm going to take the Level Design page and just straight up integrate it into the home page,…
Hey there, I'm Tristamus (Antonio Aiello). I'm a Level Design / 3D Environment focused artist! I'm about to graduate from ILIA - Chicago... Take a look at my website and portfolio and see for yourself! Go to the "Gallery" section. I also am aware that I still need to add Polycounts to my work, as there is none yet. I would…
This seals the deal then. All future additions to my portfolio will be based around completed environments, with additional pictures of the individual props and their respective information. For level design, I believe I'll do a short fly-through of the levels with my own narration to help explain the flow and various…

My site is hosted on a friends webserver that he runs a HL2 level design site off of. Domain name costs like £10 every 2 years. Pretty cheap portfolio :)
i think your site is excellent! It's tricky applying as a level designer as the job can be radically different from company to company. Some companies use level designers almost like junior artists while others will restrict and discourage any kind of "artyness" on their levels and make them create pure game play spaces…

Does anyone have good insight into the best way to achieve the goals of level design and gain a good job? I know a nice portfolio is of upmost…
