My HardSurface Improvement tread

Hey everyone !
I really love making hardsurface modeling and I decide to redirect my carrier to become an HardSurface Artist instead of 3D Artist.

To improve my skills I decide to make this Truck concept art :

Hey Poinball,

That is a very good concept and a very nice start. I also love hard surface modelling but I'm still a beginner at it.
I'll keep following this tread to see more WIP

Also, could you share an artist that inspires you on the hard surface area?

I put on the side for the week the truck and start to make this Knife ! I love the design and I was not able to wait to start modelise it :P

Hey guys ! I just finish the normal map bake on my Lowpoly. I also apply the base color.
I'm now ready to jump in the texturing phase !

Hey, can I ask a piece of advice? How do you study hardsurface modeling? I mean, I have a few tutorials, should I watch and follow/copy his steps along or should I watch pieces of it (let's say 5 min) and then do it by myself? Or do you have another suggestion?

@mikewitk - Yeah, you can watch all the Tim Bergholz tutorials. They really help and you will lern fast !
@s1dK - hehe, nice ! I will probably do an other truck, I hate having something in my folio that are in a tutorial. It decrease the value of the piece :P
