Simple Detail Around A Corner

Quick question. I've been trying to create some simple trim around the curve of a building, but outside of manually copying, pasting and rotating each shape*, I'm not sure how to best approach this. I know there has to be a smarter/easier way of doing it, but I haven't had a whole lot of luck up to this point. Also, if this has been mentioned before just point me in the right direction.

My course focuses a lot on digital animation, but not really the ins and outs of environment modeling tricks, so I keep getting stuck on some of the small, 'you should know this by now' details.

It's great for duplicating objects around complex curves. See also built-in Maya stuff like motion paths and flow paths for more of this kind of thing (just check the manual).
