FUTURE-FICTION Wait, you said also to 'transfer normal'. You're saying each of those hair strand has its own UV space and not sharing the same texture at all ??

Just select by element, and then overlay them vertically on top of each other? Thats pretty much what I did as far as UVing goes!
Wow thanks for all the comments guys, I appreciate it! I'm going to work on a base this week, and a friend of mine is working on a quick rig for her too, so I'm hoping I can start doing final shots this weekend. @af3d For the hair I followed Tom Parker's hair tutorial, just kept going back and forth between texture and mesh placement until I was happy with it.
Amazing! She came out really well, awesome job! I think the hair is my favourite part of this work, it's really convincing. It's got volume and the strands break up the silhouette. This makes me want to try out making Labrys in this style.
Thanks for sharing the breakdown and material settings! I really needed that right now. Love the final results, everything looks awesome. You definitely did Aigis justice, she's my second favorite character from P3.
if I had to crit something it would be that the feet could be pushed farer away from the anime 2d ref. They look bit flat and comic like compared to the rest

Thanks for the crit, I was thinking about adding some mechanisms to the feet to show the functionality but I kind of ran out of steam!
How did you texture the hair? Did you draw the hair yourself, render it or use high res textures of real hair?
Have you seen Lara Croft in the latest tomb raider game? Your hair rivals that quality. You did blonde which is lighter and I would think harder to do, since it requires more detail (I think).
Thanks all! @sr3d for 90% of the hair I rendered out splines from zbrush to get good bakes, but ended up reducing the normal intensity a lot as it can get really noisy. The fine whisps of hair you can see on the outer hair cards are just painted with a really small brush, kinda as a height map in black and white, then run that through a normal map filter to get some bump. As for the other methods, with painted hair I didn't know a good method to paint big chunks of alpha cards as a height map, same with a photo, also photo would be my last choice cos its a pain to paint out all the artefacts.
This is like my new favourite thing;D I look at the full body frontal with the grey background (the one in your thumbnail) and I can't believe you made that with Toolbag!
FUTURE-FICTION - Oh wow. I LOVE this Blair! Amazing level of detail and some great artistry on this character. The presentaion, pose and FX all help to really add another level of quality to the whole thing.

Thank you! it was a painful process but glad its well received. I would love to see that, she is also a cutie.
Amazing work, so motivating, and i like tutorial that you done for it, thx for all hard work. Would it be possible to show us technique that you use for texturing hair? I really like how did it look on end. Thx.

Mad props on the face, hair, and just capturing Aigis's character even further. Absolutely incredible!

Wow
Setting up lighting/poses and putting the images together probably took about 3 weeks of work in the evenings.
Thanks everyone for your awesome feedback, i really appreciate your nice comments!
