Starting Retopo. I had a little bit of trouble with exporting the mesh to 3d coat, somewhere along the way i had lost the low poly mesh to the body, and 3d coat wasnt handling the amount of tris. (although it was roughly 2 million, and that should run fine). so just did a quick decimation master in zbrush and it worked…
Haha, thread of awesomeness This was my first completed character model (in quake 2 evolved). I was so proud of myself hehe and these are my second and third completed models... Sadly the only other model I finished was my dom war entry, since then I havn't had as much time as I need to get a project done

This one will simply export any selected objects to OBJ files matching their object name in Max, to the "source folder" chosen in the tools. Really nice work :D My only crit is the actual follow-through at the end swing, you'd think the vid would go on for at least 1-2 seconds more so you can actually see the whole follow-through there, get the viewer a chance to settle or the animation to settle properly before ending. But either way, great work!
if your set on doing it in modo you bake twice once with floaters once with out and combine the 2 maps in PS, but that seems like a lot of needless work to me. im a failry new modo user but i would have never even considered baking in it, seems to make more sense to just fire up xnormal or max.
Or gun. It's hard to call any art crap, someone somewhere will love it, all you can really say is you don't like it. In this case, I don't. I've got a hand carved wooden sculpture here, about 2 ft tall of an African hunter dude that I think is way better, and probably only worth about $100.
I agree with what's already been said... Also, Max (I'm sure all the other software packages do too, but I'm talking from experience) does a great job at packing UV's itself. I think I have only changed my UV's, after letting Max do the work, 2 or 3 times...
Yeah I've read those 2 threads. It's hard to grasp, but I'll understand those fully eventually. Do need to run the script over the low poly or high poly? Also, now that you say it, my high poly does seem to be split into separate parts... They're one mesh in zBrush. I'll try exporting it again. Thanks!
