Hey Thanks ANP. I'll defintley try to rework the lighting on the first one. In the meantime I've been working on the forest one and I'm probably definitley gonna stray from the concept, cause I like the big mountainy feel. So here's what i got so far.
Yeah, adding sea elements would help. He reminds me of a forest creature more than anything right now. My first thought when I saw your model was the giants in Majoras Mask. They keep the moon from crashing into the world. Was trying to throw a water spin on that.
hey guys!, been gone for a spell. Interesting time tied up with life and other duties...just felt like I needed to get back to posting here. Going to start off with a familiar piece here, version of the above forest lord illustration...just, at a further point of finished - - -
Hi, How can i make this look better? :) I want it to look like it belongs in an adventure fantasy game. Made it without reference from imagination. Planning to make a mystical night forest scene to frame him in. Any words of wisdom will be greatly appreciated! Thanks for looking. G
I'm trying to find art dumps, breakdowns and showcases similar to the following envs: http://www.dreamstation.cc/wp-content/uploads/2011/09/screen7.jpg http://www.gameranx.com/img/12-Oct/halo-4-ragnarok-2.jpg Does anyone know a "genre" for that? Forest terrain? Highlands? :poly124:

Just moved to Seattle been hankering to sculpt so I went to a cafe and did this in a few hrs. Original Concept by Dave Masson Forest gaurdian Check him out here!https://www.artstation.com/artist/davidmassonart Just wanted to say hi!, any C&C welcomed. Thanks everyone!
I like the forest, and really like the sunset to night transition mid-way through. However, it's VERY dark. Dark tot he point that all detail is really just silhouette. Mid-ground lighting would help show-off the work you put into this.
nice explanation :) but i still find problems in choosing architectural style and color palette , would you explain how you would aproach such things , keep in mind im going for a sci fi style combined with some natural elements like jungle and forests...
