I'm at a non-games company now. Wayfair. I help run a group of around 70 artists doing 3d rendering. Every single person (except receptionist) has a standing desk. There are about 3200 people here, 7 floors filled with standing desks! It's insane how much they spend on office equip and supplies. But hey it's corporate… -

Update* Another days work done, didnt get as far as I wanted to though. Hit a little bit of a wall about how I wanted the step banister to look but it seems to have turned out ok. it's all smoothing group issues. max does NOT like having your whole model on one smoothing group. if you break it up into different groups (i.e. anywhere there is a change in surface tangent of like 70* say) then when you project your normals again, it will look much better.
