Trying to speed up my concepting process by reusing old mesh parts. These parts were fused together with dynamesh. The metal parts are from Maya and the rock was sculpted in Zbrush. more to come..
Sure oxy wants to move it from downtown seattle in to freemont the second hardest place to get in and out of. It has more parking? but its still pay parking. Nice part about having it over here is the parking is free.
Please let me know what you think about it! Will try to fit the pants into the poly limit, but does that mean for the pants I need to have them together with the belt? Because in that case no way it will fit within 300 triangles. Can I have the actual belt part of the "armor" bit? None of the model is final, just seeing…
Hello! I guess its a matter of taste and old school vs pbr. IMO Its abit "gamey" to have very brushed edges but I try do some stuff to help showing difference betwhen planes. Small dents on edges, small surface differences to help the shape pop more and read more clearly even if it goes against pbr rules. Some weapons are…
Hi kosh3d, thanks for advice and for the link. It's really really usefull to me! I will probably screenshot it to be honest. I want to learn a good workflow and have a bit of planned approach every time I start a project. Also want to get somewhat ok portfolio to be able to look for any jobs(freelance, part time, doesn't…
Thanks a lot! I loved the article. A specific part of it called my attention, when he talked about weighted normals. It is an awesome way to make those smooth edges without worring about making a high res model to bake the normals from. I applied it to a part of the model,: The left on is using normals baked from a higher…
No, the model isnt done yet. This will be the "base" for the sculpt. A bit offtopic here (I will a start a thread in the pimping section) - which part isnt correct? Btw - this is the concept by madspartan013 My intention is to have a model with several subsurf levels. Low subsurf lvl for animation and the high one for…
This has to to with the indexing of the curve. It seem every part is indexed separately but this is not relayed onto the Index node ( only one dimension 0..n an not somethign like (1..p, 1..n) ~~ (Part , PartIndex) ) so on splitting teh curve the index "restarts" of some kind but then it is not correctly interpreted…
I think your thread title doesn't match the questions you're asking... I assume the end goal is mass production? But yea, I guess you will be 3d printing your model as a presentation piece? Or maybe to be used as a blank to create molds for production? -I would say make sure each piece is a closed volume. Include secondary…
