Touch triggers not working
I've been working through a tutorial where the camera view changes based on a trigger that's activated. I finally got all of my code to compile, but when I went to test the script out (created a trigger and connected it to the "top-down" node of my Kismet action), it did nothing. I'm not sure what I did wrong or how to fix… -

Yeah, Blender's edge loop creation system isn't quite as fast as SwiftLoop, but you can press Ctrl + R almost just as fast. You can't actively move the camera as you navigate the 3d viewport, but you can press Ctrl + Alt + Num 0 to align the active camera to your current view (or View > Align View > ... if you're not a… -

Planar unwrap in Blender is actually pretty easy, you can do it in a few keyboard strokes actually. Go into whichever orthographic side view you need, then use Project from View or Project from View (Bounds) with the relevant faces selected. Mirroring UVs is a real pain, though. I'm glad you didn't include arms. One of my favorite parts about the aiming system is that you can move the gun in the view space without moving the entire view, which is more realistic. LRoy: Most views come from audio downloads (MP3) as a lot of folks can't stream from work. So yea, the youtube views aren't that great. I mostly pimp to social stuff like g+, twitter, facebook. it looks like you're using max, so when you've got your Rotate tool active, change the coordinate system to "local" instead of "view", it's in a dropdown list next to the move/rotate/scale buttons at the top of the screen. I just use view align in max when I have to align verts, faces etc. I have it to a short cut and select the viewport where I want the verts to be aligned in. If I need them aligned in top view I select that and hit the view align short cut. It seems fast enough for me. Bryan script looks cool though.
