That Jack Kirby graphic is misleading, as if to suggest he only became an artist in his 40s. When in fact he started being pro when he was 19. Created Captain America with writer Joe Simon when he was 24. He was pretty accomplished and experienced as an artist long before he reached his 40s. -

I used a small Huion for about six months. It was ok. The pen feels kind of flimsy but it did the job. It was about $100 vs $400 for a Wacom.
