Thanks for the feedback guys. :) You are right about the grip, I will change it to something a little more interesting. I'll probably pick one with grooves in it as I like the larger details. @ nicafornica yeah one of the sides are a little too straight at the moment. More soon-ish-maybe-kinda.
Thanks for all of your comments everyone, glad to see I've built up some interest in my work I'm certainly taking everyone's advice regarding more variety and working on a medieval piece as we speak. Sean, I got your email. Talk to you soon
Hi JO420 sorry to hear about your situation. Any chance you can bring your girlfriend over to the US. and marry here there, then somehow have that marriage binding over there in Denmark? I hope you can find some work soon too, good luck.
Really nice quickplay video courtesy of GamesRadar, focuses mostly on Pyromancer and Assassin gameplay along with a lot of game info as well. [ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bdtVDw7aSU0"]FORGE QuickPlay - YouTube[/ame] original article p.s. there should be some art dumpage soon-ish;)
The more they develop Mudbox the more Zbrush is going to start looking like a terrible concept. They're surely going to have to rewrite the entire thing soon and make it a true 3D app instead of all these workarounds. Seems you can write your own CGFX shaders for it too.
Haven't posted anything in awhile and falling a little bit behind in regards to the final submission. Nearly done with the high poly of the character and started playing around with the color scheme a little. Will start on the vehicle soon hopefully, may have to change my original idea for something more simple.
Agreed, it's a little garish at the moment, I'll be going over it again in photoshop soon :) Some of it is probably down to my dodgy editing of the ZBrush renders, so here's an unedited shot in UDK with an initial test diffuse, projected with xNormal (sorry about the bad presentation, just testing atm)
probably will be wrapping this up soon, gonna add a vial/finish the string/magic. Something about the colors is bothering me- i have a feeling fiddling with the background will help, but overall a good learning experience so far! If you guys have any tips, let me know!
Yo everyone! We did a new dev log for Oi, Innkeep! It covers the decorating system we've got in place. You can check it out here: https://steamcommunity.com/games/824840/announcements/detail/1654388046325627470 Got some more character art coming soon as well!
Thanks! I`ll work on the bevels of the assets soon and see if I can either add geo or remake the LP of the cans and buckets entirely :). As for the wall, the corner actually has a bevel, but maybe I need to pronounce it more so the shadows look softer when the light hits it.
