Hi, i want to ask is there a way to make the maya edge constraint to behave like 3ds max? like what the guy did in about 13:10. https://vimeo.com/106099548 Maya edge constraint sliding will change the shape. the orange edge is what maya give me, but i want the result to be line red line.
I am kinda angry at James Cameron. He should have made this instead of blue pocahontas. He could have done it. But instead we most probably will get an sanitized PG-13 version of it. I do have some respect for Rodriguez, but i am not sure if he can pull it off.
install it yourself windows 7 is the quickest installing, with the most user-friendly installer out of every version of windows or OS X. and like someone mentioned, get some cheap parts and build a comp to learn how it all works, been building my own rigs since i was 13, nothing too it.
Try and get the shape of that stamped indent in the receiver right. everybody always gets that wrong. It's stamped, not milled so it tends to be much smoother and rounder. feedback I gave someone else: http://www.polycount.com/forum/showpost.php?p=2057786&postcount=13 He never bothered to follow any of I think though.

I talk about this pretty extensively in my Cascade Beginner's Guide on 3dmotive. It's in volume 2, chapters 13 & 14. https://www.3dmotive.com/f104301 There are lots of different approaches, but in the video I talk about how to use After Effects to layout a flipbook from some stock fire footage. Hope this helps!
Ashervisalis Thanks man. Yeah, I'm a diehard "Tifosi" and the previous 13 year period has been terrible for us, since Kimi Räikkönen last won the championship for Scuderia...oh well we but live in the hope that Maranello will someday engineer a masterpiece too rightfully reclaim number one spot, from the Germans :#

Hey! Take a look here: http://www.raylightgames.com/2010/05/sneakpeek-xrayunwrap-15-rc1/ It's call the X-Ray Unwrap, a real time saver! You'll just need to select your seams and they'll unwrap your mesh automatically. I've been using it and it helps a lot! And it only cost 13 euros! :)
