Finished up this real-time portrait. My goal was to aim for a quality high enough to be used as a digital double in film but, optimized for games/VR. All running in Marmoset, sculpted in Zbrush with no scans, detailed with a mixture of hand sculpting/custom alphas and Texturexyz, textures painted in Mari.
Things become difficult at summoners rift so every one must find ways to buy potions. . . well in this occasion i´ll try to do a portrait of Nautilus as security guard at the night club = ^-^ = (mood table soon. . . to many things to do :\ )
Rule of thirds and golden ratio grid overlays would be great imo. Also an easy way to set the window size to the same ratio as your render output? I.e. for portrait renders.
This portrait sculpture was made as a warm-up of organic sculpting, but the process turned out to be a rather interesting design that reminded me of a mix of Battloads and End of Evangelions angels. Hope you enjoyed!
Hello guys! This is a WIP of a likeness sculpt. The subject is Ryan Reynolds. I am currently working on the base shapes after breaking the symmetry. For now I'm focusing on nailing the correct proportions and positions of the features. The final aim is to make a very realistic portrait. Feedback is very welcome.
Thanks guys! I have made a new HTML version of it which seems to be much faster :) http://www.mikebarnes3d.com/#!portfolio|mainPage I still need play around with the character bust portrait. I was also thinking about adding titles to the pictures.
Didn't know there was an image limit. So here's a few more recent things. Sci-fi character design Post apocalyptic Santa design inspired by The Road And design process for a character design for CGHubs 2d character forge And a portrait illustration thing
nothin but praise from my corner man, straight to inspiration pile!!! I generally browse folio websites on my 24" rotated to portrait viewing mode and some of the massive pics filled up my whole monitor just rightly! Awesome!
Among other things yes. Edit: Gauss after looking more closely at the portraits your crit rang all too true, I need to work on that. Thanks for the feedback it's much appreciated. BTW I am a big fan of your stuff!
