Kylo Ren from “Star Wars the Force awakens”. Saw this movie twice and loved the character. Maya / Quixel Suite / Photoshop im no cloth wizard, so this was great practice to realize my skills and where i need to improve. i dont mind some critique despite knowing what i could improve on. would love to hear peoples thoughts.…
Hi I need someone who can rig and animate an iguana in the next few days. This is for a kids tv show. I already have the model and the scene that the model needs to fit into. - 2-3 second linear walk cycle [slow] - 2-3 second linear walk cycle [fast] FBX format will probably be best. Before doing any work we will test the…

Hey guys! So, this is the brand spankin' new animation section on Polycount! I'm super excited to see everybody's work, yesterday I emailed the guys here at Polycount requesting this section and here it is :) So, here's what I'm working on at the minute. Built myself a pretty simple CAT rig in Max of a stocky little dwarf…
Thanks for the great replies guys! The project is a Unity3d iPhone game so only relatively simple rigs required. Mostly humanoid characters but likely a few animals and monsters which slightly worry me as I'm used to Biped's unique tools and haven't built custom bone rigs with IK etc. My biggest gripe with Biped is it's…
I think by not snapping the character to the point, you are bound to get some sort of offset, as eyeballing it isn't going to give you an exact result, which in turn is what you are looking for. It would make sense that over time the offset of the hands would grow, as the offset is also growing over time the more you climb…
Hey Arturow, thanks so much for your comment! :) I'll definitely look at the examples you posted! I am indeed using full IK, as I don't really know how to do anything else. How do I use the 'motion trail'? I had already started a second animation when I saw your comment - originally he walks up to the pedestal, but if the…
In Maya you select the mesh(es) first, and then only the root joint before hitting Smooth Bind. If that doesn't work you can apply the Skin modifier in Max and add the Biped bones before exporting the fbx. However, I don't understand the problem. Just saying it doesn't work isn't very informative. What does happen? What…
@Thnk you probably should clean up the surface for the 1st bow it looks kind of bloated @Aitnar The blades have a very weak base, you probably should connect the edges of the bow and the blade. Since I never do animation or complex rigging, I tried my very best to actually set up a rig! Its not that great though :( Can I…
Do you remember the Fuzz they did back then ? :poly128: aaaaah the Gnomon days !! On edit: OOh! look a new forum, how do you like it ? so just i don't forget to say something: at the time rigging a zombie like character with an open torso section with a live beating heart and animated skinned flexible interior organs with…
