i really like this, the shapes are really nice. If you can try and avoid the repeating texture on the base of the legs, either flip the UV chunks horizontally/vertically so they dont all look the same. The only other thing that bothers me are the hand drawn "X" shapes on the boxes either side of the cockpit. They stand out… -

bronco,thanks for your c+c,there's no need for a wire as that was posted on here a while back,the chest is fine i appreciate it does not show on render but it does stick out plenty,as for the other comments on texturing(bands,scratches etc) they are all coming,as i said there is a long way to go, i reckon i am about 30%… -

Those new brushes for hard surfacing are the fave feature for me, along with goZ- Zspheres II...we'll see :) But there are soooo many cables, wire and other small surface detailing that I've been using extrude along curves in maya that I could now just draw on- awesome! can't wait to get me email from pixo! ~P~ PS although… -

Im no zbrush pro but I would say - no theres definitely a learning curve. It will eventually be just as easy but it will probably take a while to get used to the way 3D sculpting works and learning how to get the results you desire, not to mention the interface and the importing and exporting and retopologising process. You can customize your hotkeys in CS2 anyway, and can import your settings from previous PS versions so your settings stay consistant throughout each version. Layer groups, and groups within groups rocks my socks. I usually run up to around 30-35 layers on a 512x512 texture and never notice any sort of sluggishness… -

If you really wanted to, this is a real hackish way but it might work to some extend.... Render out straight on from front and side, and the planar map from front and side and bake the renders back onto the model and do a little ps work to combine them. You'll get lighting and everything this way tho so im not sure if it… -

Love the character in the face, I think it's coming along nicely. Brad was pretty spot on in what he said. Give some special love to those ankles, they look a little odd (They look correct for a normal sized guy, but maybe too thick/cankly for this guy) Also, from the profile view, the neck is about as thick as the thigh.…
