Substance Painter needs a lot more vram than when Blender simply renders because of all the layers, bakes, etc. That probably explains why you can render in Blender but not in Painter.
thanks for the addon guys, I wonder where to find it in 2.8 blender? I couldn't even find Tools Panel eidt: turns out I need downgrade blender in order to use it (
Just out of curiosity, does the bake result in the second image display correctly if you bring the mesh and normal map Blender baken into Painter, or does Blender just bake it out wrong?
Started on a new project, a clerics mace. Here is the current state of the highpoly. It's done in Maya since I started it before I switched to learning Blender. The goal is to do the UV layout in Blender.

Blender is my main software in my workplace (game dev) and I'm not only one there, who use Blender. Of course 3DS Max skills are also necessery, but I'm not use it a lot of time.
Thanks Dim. BMesh is the the only feature I'm waiting for. Then I'll give Blender a try. I already know how to use Blender's interface, but I refuse to work on tris and quads only ;)
If you're going to render your Blender scene to video you can use the Freestyle engine with the Cycles or Blender-Internal renderers, to generate contours: http://www.blender.org/manual/render/freestyle/introduction.html
Baking in 3d coat works amazing  thanks for the suggesting! And pretty fast too :). It perfectly works together with Blender aswell, because of the normal presets for blender and applink between both applications.
