Put some values to scroll by in that constant. At the moment you are scrolling 0, 0. It's in UV space so 1 = a full scroll around. Try 0.5 or 0.3 or 0.7.

Odd. I checked that part and it flickered quite a bit. After zooming in the cage looked fine. I made the cage by applying a z transform of 0.05. Is zyransform unreliable?

for 1, i'd select the two edges you want connected with one edge and dopolySplitRing -ch on -splitType 1 -weight 0.5; then split polygon to connect the edges for the triangles

They Actually said in the video that Lighting model is 30 000 polys. I would've expected twice as less. But it seems like they've got a tonn of looping for facial animation.
