Sorry for the double post but I am restarting this model. It seems Maya PLE won't export to anything, not even to full version of Maya so I'm getting 3ds. A final shot for the purpose of whatever. Critques are always appreciated. Sorry for the double post.

sorry didn't read post above :D I mean: you desaturate any wooden plank texture and use some levels, then you bring that into ZBrush and use by standard brush with drag and drop setting? (sorry for my english )

this is cycles, and the texture is just a simple white (the default color of the the diffuse node). Sorry i forgot to say this, but everything is at a default value, that's why this bothers me. Lights are not baked. The only light comes from an emissive shader that's part of the lamp.
Hmm wiki links work fine for me. Note that the wiki uses http: instead of https: and some browsers complain about this, but it's nothing to worry about since we're not transmitting anything that needs security like that.
