@ sltrOlsson - Just to clarify, you're wanting to see the rock ztls that I duplicated around to make the tileables with? @ SaboR1996 - Thanks! I like him too! :D @ Fenyce - Hey! I'm glad you like them. I mainly use TrimSmoothBorder brush with a square alpha. If you want a little noise left behind as you sculpt, you can add…
You just want to disguise the tiling edge well, it doesn't need to be a straight crisp line and you can use whatever details you want. Just make sure it snaps to the grid in a usable way. These might help give you some ideas how to make that edge less noticeable.…
@Eric Chadwick From what I understand the way this works seems to promote spam. Why not level up according to level of appreciate i.e. insightful=25exp awesome=50exp etc.. I think this mechanic has a lot of potential. From what I'm reading it seems like it hasn't been explored unfortunately.
Thanks, Alex. Which edge loops look unnecessary to you? I received that criticism before, so I removed any loops that didn't serve a purpose. If I removed any more I'd end up with N-gons or triangles or deform the mesh. It's roughly 5000 quads, no triangles.
I recently started to work on this again, it's almost done just need to use alphas and add finer details to it. Any criticism much appreciated. https://us.v-cdn.net/5021068/uploads/editor/23/1fdm903lhubl.gif

If you find yourself switching back and forth between local and world you might want to take a second to set up a "double tap shortcut". I went into a bit more detail HERE, but basically you tap a key once and it will do something like select the scale tool. Tap twice and it will cycle the gizmo to local, do it again and…
The most obvious target for optimization are the various hinges on the legs. You can probably reduce the number of sides on each of those cylinders by half without any appreciable loss in quality. You can easily save 4k polygons with the joints alone. (And really, why did you spend well over 10% of your total budget on leg…
Well it really depends on what it's going to be used for to be honest. I see that you said it's from WoW, so are you trying to keep it to those specifications? Or is it for a first person game where it will be seen up close? If you are trying to stick to the WoW specs, I would say try to keep it around 500-800 tris at the…
