I'd cut it down from 2.5 minutes to 1-1.5 minutes, only show your very best work. Also I don't mean to offend you but I think the choice of music is poor for a showreel, try use something without lyrics if possible, especially not rap.
I never even thought to add some pure whites or blacks to get punch up the spec contrasts, I always thought 0's and 255's were a no no. I'll definately have to give it a try with the next vegetation I make, thanks a bunch Spangles! :D
I think I saw this technique used recently in a procedural trees package on the UE4 marketplace. They used this (or a similar solution) to blend the base of the trunk with the terrain mesh. Found it: https://youtu.be/ixkP5WTr4DY?t=215 Anyway, great job, your solution looks awesome! Thanks for sharing. :)
Version 2.5 Released • proper error message if export path doesn't exist • added DDS 8.8.8.8 support (thanks JN) • rgb/a packer automatically creates alpha channel if needed • fixed error when using rgb/a packer with alpha channel selected • toggleable mipmap for dds
Well I'd get an external 2.5 hdd enclosure (make sure you know if your using sata or EIDE), shove it in their and run the drive from another comp. As long as its just your OS that's bad you should be able to grab everything off their easily like that.
From the guys that made Uplink and Darwinia. Basically you are the guy with his thumb on 'the big red button'. You launch nukes all over the shop and get hit by them etc. "London: 2.5 million dead" etc. popping up on the screen. Knowing these guys, it should be interesting.
must say the standard brush seems to be back to being awesome like it was in 2.5. It has real subtlety now. on the down side double clicking the scale button does not maximize the model anymore. what gives?
