If the neck and the body both have open edges around the area where they would connect, then you could use the Curve Bridge brush to automatically connect them. Or just export both the body and head so that you can manually bridge them. You'll likely want to do this before putting too much detail into the head.
check backface culling (right click object, properties > backface culling must be on) - so perhaps your faces are flipped Also the way I would connect them is propably through bridge. Just slect the pair of edges you want to connect and hit the bridge button which will create faces between those edges
When you converted the pentagons you have into quads, did you use any bridging? It may be a case that your edges are not connected but laying on top of each other. I would check this by smoothing it and seeing if the edge flow does anything unpredictable. If so, delete the face and then cap it instead of bridging.
@Rima @zetheros I formatted these questions in this way because I thought it’d be easier to understand the points I was bringing up. Yes I plan on replying back to both set of comments on both posts but wanted to hear more people’s thoughts first. Both set of questions were on my mind, figured it’d make more sense to ask…
The map seems to update sometimes as soon as I'm making stuff, but I have other structures further out that haven't shown up. In fact, I have a mansion with a giant bridge to it with a mob trap next to it. All that show up but the mansion itself and part of the bridge. I like to think of it as a secret mansion.
Seems like you're making great progress with Zbrush so far! :poly142: I'm actually in the same boat as you are; I'm also a handpainted artist who only really started to delve into Zbrush just now. :poly136: As for mister Frankenstein, I think some of your bevels on the metal parts are looking a little bit soft,…
The smell of burning bridges makes my stomach growl. yummy! nice and crunchy bridge! lol anyhow, yall keep in mind that all it takes is for one loud, unhappy employee to make a project look like its in dev hell. And the unhappy ones are always the loudest. Why else don't we hear things like "halo 5 dev is going swimmingly."
Your horizon line, (the line that seperates the ship from the sky) forms a crecent curve that strongly suggests that the right side of the image would come to the foreground, but since there are people fighting on there it seems to be the bridge of the ship. Also: keep in mind how sails on a ship work, please. They need to…
Thanks for stressing this out Cryrid ! I stand corrected - this is, indeed, the one situation where the bridge brush *does* work :) I think I got confused with the other situation that I was trying to use it for, which involved bridging arbitrary edges. I am glad that you got it all sorted out Retmia ! Good stuff :)
That would require re-UVing unfortunately Eric. That and attempting to Bridge a complete ring many times will angle the edges , so now you have an extra step to remake into rings. Mark, tried the retriangulate. No difference. I did attempt the ribbon/edges/spin edge, but it does the same issue as bridging complete rings,…
