Texturing help: Paper lantern with bright spot and light falloff effect

octane free student version.
I am considering using octane for rendering my scenes.I wanted to ask if anyone has tried out the latest version and if there is much difference between the latest version and the student version which is the 1.2 version and its free. The latest version is way cheaper than Vray (£199).But would one say octane is way faster… -

Have you considered huion as an alternative? Whilst I haven't got one, I do use the huion 610pro and love it, good drivers and even works with windows 10. Been hearing good things about the company and for half the price of a cintiq its worth looking into at least.… -

The Polysphere script I made a while back has been in Blender since 2.6, so you don't need to do that any more :) Add Mesh> Extra Objects> Basic Objects> PolySphere. If you don't want to dig for it, you can just download the script and add it in the normal way.… -

If it's a pci-e slot, I'd go for a 9600 (cheaper ~ $140) or 8800GT (faster ~ $190). There is no need to spend more, as your system will bottleneck due to processor speed for anything more. Finally got around to redoing the uvs and texture for the Fiat. Stuck to a 4-bit pallete this time. 188 tris including 1-quad shadow.
