Im jealous as always. You must try metal! Maybe i can learn to handpaint it by watching your very talented self. I cant get anywhere with my darn stove. Will be watching ;)
Polycount should have a rule that all image macro and internet meme jokes must be handpainted by the poster in question. And no recycling anything, you have to repaint monorail cat everytime you want to post it.
This is fantastic! Generally with handpainted props, you'll want to put the self illumination to around 50-75%. Also (personal preference) to get the image sharper looking, use Catmul-Rom, with no texture filtering in the render.
This is a fantastic model! Maybe some of the scratches are overdone a bit but overall I love the textures. I wonder how you did the textures, all handpainted or with texture overlays? Either way it looks fantastic!
Updated my textures for the handpainted sword and shield I was making. I thought I'd get some final feedback to take over to my next piece (hopefully better) Here it is: Thanks for looking
There is a lot of diferent materials on him..and thats great. I decided to skip highpoly stage, and put my handpainting skills to test right away! block out mesh..which will be retopoed/reproportioned later.
yes, handpainting it is definitely the better option. However, it seems some people find making a high>low occ method useful, so it just depends on how yiou go about your pipeline.
I'm glad you changed the nose, because when it was melted together as in the first texture image, it kinda looked like that monkey kid from jumanji Now? Looking good! Nice handpainted textures.
Ok! I´m still thinking about better fur look, but there are not too much things left to do: Repaint in Substance, trying to improve the fur, the pose and perhaps a few more handpaints on the body :)
