ATMOSPHERE: The game will have a very serious and dark atmosphere to it. Hi ! I've been working on a 2D top down action game in the style the old Smash TV or the newer Geometry Wars. It focuses on heavy action with lots of bullets flying around and always many enemies on screen to fight. I got a demo with 6 levels to share with you all, but I'm posting here because I have lots ideas I'd like to…
What Gonzo said. don't worry about components. They're outdated in 6 - 10 months anyway and obsolete in 3 - 4 years. Save cash and put it in SDD, monitor, and a good intuos + kbd + mouse combo. And yes, the monitor outlasts everything - still working with my 5 year old 30" screen and loving it! As system I picked a stock…
Some good stuff. Really like the mushroom town and your Unearthly turned out real nice. As a crit to the folio its self you have way to much crap in it. Too many images of the same stuff just slightly different angles or whatever. You shouldnt show the same prop more than twice and twice being 1 render 1 wireframe with…

Diablo 3 is a bad example. Diablo 3 had HUGE PENT UP DEMAND, basically a starving audience of diablo 1 + 2 fans had accumulated over many years. Diablo 3 even if it was absolute garbage would still have sold a lot on name recognition alone. I compared a toony style first person shooter (borderlands) to another first person…
Awesome to see you posting here! And a really cool piece you chose to make. you have come a long way. I like your lighting. I have a couple critics for you. First I agree with what Kurt Russel and blaisoid are saying. Some dirt collecting around the edges of the glass would help. Just subtract this in your emissive map.…
Hi! Once you applied the circles' scale, make sure the points' mean radius in edit-mode is 1 (might be 3 in your case): edit: using "Apply Scale to Deltas" seems to apply scale while keeping a mean radius of 1. But I don't know what else "Apply Scale to Deltas" does, so best test/read up in the documentation :)
