are there any viewers or plugins for 3dsMax (except the command line viewer inside the DirectXTex sources) that are capable of handling the DDS DXGI format? 3DS-Max 2014 and 2015 can't load those dds files (wrong header) and maya simply freezes when using a material with one of those dds files. this format is available… -

Well, if Max 2012 isn't doing the issue and 2013 is, it's understandably so with all the patches, fixes and packs, Max 2013 could have a bug or two that will need a couple of months of fixing, so I would suggest, if necessary, to work in Max 2013 and save it out as Max 2012 file, end viewport from there. -
