yea... including the splash page perhaps? its prolly fantasy..... or a blend between the two... heres what im guessing: YEARS before DWI, this war happened... and caused the elimination of many factions [thats why theres so many boards] or DWII resulted in an apocalypse, leading to loss of technology, and rise of a tribal…
The level of detail in the environmental geometry seems a bit mad to me, individually modeled roof tiles and paving stones and things. It looks beautiful, although the LoDs and and distant graphics can look a bit wonky (even unfinished for some of the vistas), more than either DSII and of course Dark Souls. I've heard a…
Started working on this yesterday. My first time really using zbrush for detailing. I tried something similar with mudbox quite a while ago and it didn't go too well. I 'm fairly happy with the results this time. I'd point out that only the blade has been detailed at the moment. The handle and hilt only have a tiled detail…
Hello :DThis thread is one of my favourites and I'm just mucking around in Max right now with some of my own lowpoly stuff. I already have my viewport set up to render unfiltered but I am hoping others can help me with some specific questions about lighting/rendering in Max for lowpoly assets. What I want is to get shadows…

Those that want to use the diy method are the ones willing to endure a little inconvenience to get what they want for…
frostymoose >> I think you should read this article: Making a demo for a 60+ hour game is insane. You can't do it well; it's flat-out impossible. From the sounds of things as soon as that demo portion is over it goes back to the sort of Dragon Age experience you expect. Maybe I'm wrong, but everything I've read suggests…
Your metal sheets are a little to noisy. One thing i had to learn (and am still learning) is that rusty and dirty metal can still be done cleanly, instead of throwing noise and grunge all over the place. I would start with a base grey metal, find some nice dirt/grunge photoshop brushes and paint in the dirtyness manually.…
The next part of the project I developed all the ideas I created, changing up the fronts to feel more retro, and figuring out the back and sides to create a mismatched and DIY feeling. Below are the final 3 designs I chose to work on, along with the options of milk tanks and ice cream makers on the side.
