his arms are looking a bit thin there. too much taper from upper to lower if having a normally athletic body. With a padded arming jacket and a lower cannon, his forearm imo should be bulkier.
I think this scene offers good opportunities for more interesting lighting. Did you think of making a night time variations? I can just see the cannon pointing towards the stary sky
Cool! I think you could push the cannon textures a little more with some more contrast and edge highlights. Also you might want to de-contrast the tiling wood on the floor/walls.
This leads me to believe that by the time we develop an orbital ion cannon you can zoom in enough to see the faces of your victims before pushing the big red button. Sounds like fun!
imo lower the tank, fatter treads would add a more comic look without been too comic. Maybe reverse the way the cannons go, thinner at the base and wider at the end, not much but noticeable.
I can't be the only one who is looking forward to seeing a psychotic punk kid tear New New York in half then get shot in the face with a fucking laser cannon You guys are old and lame.
i got to play with one of these when i toured a destroyer. same with that cannon to the dude's left. care to get some larger renders? it looks like you could stand to soften up the edges a bit.
Hi Nut, thanks for the kind words - I am trying to discover my own "style" in modelling, not easy! Tonight I made cannons. A nice change from the head-hurting ship modelling. Boom!
just watched the trailer. i was impressed with the Tripods and the way the legs were animated. and near the end when the vehicle starts deploying the huge cannon. looked fun but i won't be playing anytime soon on this computer.
I have updated the First post. * I have toned down the green, mud and some subtle dirt on the base * Updated the post with the Cannon and the Leg (WIP) I'm open to any further feedback. Thanks!
