Okey well i found out that if I renamed the enu folder to another name.started 3ds max which created a new and the problem was gone C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2011 - 64bit\enu to C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Local\Autodesk\3dsMax\2011 - 64bit\trash_enu
Guys, the more I post in this thread, the more I am wondering if this needs to be renamed/moved to become my Digital. I only think of this, as it is my project/progression thread that I keep updated whenever possible. Who could I ask for this to be done, and make this my Digital Sketchbook? Peace, Beardy
hey thanks vassago. here's another update, I'm getting close to finishing the hp. for some reason I couldn't open my latest file... it crashed whenever I tried to open it! the iteration before it works fine..:( I had to rename it to make it work. Anyone have that problem before? thanks!
I read for Gears of War (also can't skip intro logos) you can go into the game directory and find the movie files (epiclogo.bik for example) and renaming them to something like epiclogo.bika causes the program to go "eh?" and move to the next line of code, being the menu. Might work for UT3 too.
Looking through it, the code is there to apply MikKTSpace to skeletal meshes, but it's not actually implemented when building the skeletal mesh. Seems it's static mesh only for the time being. Gonna have to be editing back in my own code for a few releases. I think BitangentSign is essentially the original fSign variable,…
That is amazing dude! I just baked some maps in substance painter and it works like a charm. My low and high poly are one single mesh so I still have to detach and rename every element for both which is a real pain. Still beats exploding by hand any day though!
rule 1 is never rename UV sets - especially map1 - as they're not stored by index like in sensible software. Maya merges sets by name so if you combine meshes with differently named uv sets you get shafted like this. The history thing mentioned above isn't a bug - that's what history is for.
They can come up with Modo 11 all they want, but why would modo not allow me to copy the UI im working in, rename it and customize it to anyway i want ? For now you cant copy a default window and rework it. You have to rebuild it from scratch and can sometimes not function like the original.
I changed all the names of someone's desktops one lunch. Names like: Adobe Photoslut = Adobe Photoshop Netcrap Masterbater = Netscape Navigator Then swapped all of the images he saved on his desktop with tubgirl (but renamed the images so he wouldn't know). My god was he surprised. Silly programmers ^_^
I'm not entirely sure if you're suggesting to attempt to salvage a project by appending the contents of a file that can't be opened? Sometimes it works, but when the RNA structure of the file is broken it'll likely fail and there's pretty much nothing you can do to salvage it other than relying on different backups. I have…
